FAQ

I am new… should I take a private lesson first?

Metamorphosis does not require you to start with a private session as a beginner. Our certified trainers will explain how to use our reformer and treadmill, coach you through the class, and offer modifications to suit your fitness level. We also offer a beginner’s class, “The Essentials,” to help you become familiar with the exercises, the class pace, and the reformer.
We recommend private sessions for clients who may have a medical condition or any major injuries.
Please email us if you are unsure… we are here to guide you!

* We require that clients wear socks with grips on the bottom for their safety. If you do not own grip socks you can purchase them at the studio for $15-$20.

What do I wear to class?

* Wear comfortable workout clothes that breathe easily and that allows you to move freely in

* Grip socks are required for all Shred classes that use the reformer. Running shoes/sneakers are required for Run classes

* For your safety and protection we advise you to not wear jewelry. If you do want to wear your bling you may leave it in one of our secured lockers before entering class

I’m addicted to Morph classes… how often should I work out a week?

It is recommended to combine strength training (Shred) & cardio (Run) to achieve the best results for the body & mind. We love seeing you daily but we also believe in rest & recovery… your muscles need time to repair. Each day & week will feel different for you… listen to your body!

Should I eat before/after workout?

Our recommendation is to have a small snack 30-45 minutes before working out… an apple, a banana, or a handful of almonds. Eating something light before a workout will help keep your energy up and also help you gain more lean muscle!

After class, we suggest consuming protein within 45 minutes of working out. Eating protein post-workout helps with muscle recovery. Enjoy a protein smoothie or low-fat Greek yogurt & berries!

What’s the cancellation policy?

We enforce a 12-hour cancellation policy. Cancel at least 12 hours before the class start time via the app or online to avoid a fee. You’ll receive an email confirmation once processed.

Late Cancel (under 12 hours): $18 Los Angeles, $20 New York

No Show: $25 Los Angeles, $30 New York

It’s my first class. How early do I need to arrive to class?

We’re so excited to move with you. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can show you around. Review the equipment and note any injuries, so we can best support you.

For safety and class flow, late entry for new clients is not permitted once class begins.

I’m running late – will you hold my spot?

Please arrive a few minutes early to check in, settle in, and get grounded before class begins. We allow a 5-minute grace window. After that, your spot may be released to the waitlist or clients on standby. Running late? Give us a call. We’ll do our best to hold your spot.

Arriving on time keeps the flow strong and everyone moving safely together.
